We went to Kaoud to consider options for a runner on our stairs. Our dog is 13, and he was slipping on the bare wood stairs in our new house. We had done some research on the web, and wanted to see for ourselves. Mike at Kaoud showed us options in both machine-made and hand-made. He quoted prices readily, and said that the hand-made can be returned for credit later towards another rug. (This may or may not be a benefit, depending on the tag price vs. the discount price, but it can't hurt.) He let us bring samples home, and we looked at the rugs in our space before choosing, without any sales pressure. We wound up buying two hand-made runners, one for each portion of the split staircase. Mike came out the next day to install them. He did a great job, and we are completely happy with the outcome, and the way we were treated throughout the process. Next time we are considering an oriental rug, we will definitely return to Kaoud.
