I have only been dealing with CHD Appleton St., Holyoke for a short period of time and I 8 IVhave encountered very poor, unprofessional and very rude attitudes when trying to get answers to very simple questions....leaving me more frustrated than I was before I called. It is nearly impossible to speak to a staff member--they never answer the phones just check their voicemails. Is this the policy at all CHD offices? People call the clinic for a reason....not to hear please leave a message. This is a very common occurence. Forget an emergency...nobody seems to know anything or even who to refer you to that might try to help you; if they don't hang up the phone on you. Not very professional for a mental health clinic. Very unorganized and unprofessional. Very poorly managed. If they can't find a way to manage simple office protocol-----how do they think they can be of assistance to people who are looking to them for help? In this day and age, I find this very disheartening and very sad for the community who puts their trust and well being in their hands.

I am very concerned about the health and well-being of a family member that's in this place. Also the people running this place are very disrespectful with family members who call with the clients permission to find out what is happening with their treatment if there has been any progress in their health and treatment if any the staff are annoyed with family members when we ask questions and they hang up the phone on us or if we go in person they threaten to call the police on us. If we disagree with the way the are treating them or even what are they doing with their government funds and their savings. I hope these facilities get investigated and their staffs as well because something not right here...these family members that are in these programs have family that care and are not alone they are human beings that at some point in their lives made wrong choice due to life's pressures stress abuse or temporary mental issues that we feel that the patient should be tested and updated their progress in reports in paper not only by the facilities doctors but also by doctors of family choice for second opinion so this way they can live a happy normalize with family. Too many hidden things if you have a family member in this place keep your eyes open and ask questions we have that right to look out for our family make sure they are in good hands. Poor people in this place .

There are many people there but no one knows what the other is doing, and they are on the same team. In my opinion each person runs the show and no team work ever gets accomplished. If so ...that is the miracle and God Bless that person who they helped.
